Message From the PLANO President

2009-2010

It is truly an honor to have been chosen to serve as your PLANO President for the 2009-2010 year. I should like to thank the PLANO membership and PLANO's Board of Directors for giving me this opportunity.

Over the last year, although our industry has faced some difficult times, the support from both our sponsors and membership has been outstanding. It is this continued commitment to our organization that will enable PLANO to host another exciting year filled with many excellent educational and networking opportunities, including our Summer Garden Delights Gala to be held on Friday, August 14th at the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park, featuring Deacon John, the Gulf Coast Institute, Icebreaker and luncheon, to be held October 15th and 16th , and Executive Night, which will be held in conjunction with the French Quarter Festival, on Thursday, April 8th , 2010.

Our monthly luncheons will resume in September and present a variety of speakers focusing on topics affecting both our industry and local community. During the next couple of weeks we will begin putting together our committees. I invite you to contact our Board members with any ideas or suggestions to make our organization one that caters to the needs of our membership.

In closing, I would like to thank David ("Dave") Seay for all of his hard work and leadership in guiding our organization through another exceptional year.
